To develop quality car air fresheners for our customers, Aromate is governed by the ISO9001 quality assurance program, which controls the various stages of product development and production flow. Product quality and consumer safety are especially important to Aromate. So, to ensure our high-quality standards are maintained, international safety regulations (REACH, VOC, and CHIPS) are strictly followed, and many of our products are CE/EN71 certified.
The International Fragrance Association (IFRA), based in Geneva, Switzerland, and founded in 1973, is the official self-regulatory representative body of the fragrance industry worldwide. Its main purpose is to ensure the safety of fragrance materials through a dedicated science program. IFRA publishes a list of usage standards for fragrance materials, limiting or prohibiting the use of ingredients.
Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is a European Union regulation, establishing a European Chemicals Agency. REACH addresses the production and use of chemical substances, and their potential impacts on both human health and the environment. REACH entered into force in 1 June 2007, with a phased implementation over the next decade. The regulation also established the European Chemicals Agency, which manages the technical, scientific and administrative aspects of REACH.
California Air Resources Board (CARB) issued regulations on limitation of VOC content in consumer products, namely antiperspirants and deodorants, aerosol coating products, hairsprays, cleaners, air fresheners, adhesives, and many more.
The intention is to reduce the amount of smog-forming volatile organic compounds (VOC), toxic air contaminants and greenhouse gases that are emitted from the use of chemically formulated consumer products. California ARB reports that its consumer products regulations have resulted in reduction of emissions of nearly 50 percent since 1990. The latest amendments to the regulation intend to further reduce the amount of air pollutants emitted from various categories of consumer products.

For customers’ special requirements, AROMATE can also provide more test reports to meet different safety standards. For example, the test reports below are about benzene, toluene, dimethylbenzene, methanol and formaldehyde.
